Whale Shark Simple Folk Motif – © heidiannemorris Scandinavian Folk Art Tapestry

A stylised pair of Whale Sharks arranged symmetrically around a warm central flower, decorated with soft Scandinavian Folk Art detailing. The Whale Shark is an endangered marine giant, threatened by vessel strikes, bycatch and habitat decline, and this artwork highlights its gentle nature through bright colours and simple folk motifs. The mirrored layout and floral elements add a cheerful decorative feel while carrying a quiet message of conservation and hope for wildlife.Artwork by heidiannemorris © first published on 14 July 2026, 10:33 BST.
